Preview: Auburn v. Arkansas

Tomorrow, Auburn will take on the Arkansas Razorbacks at Jordan-Hare Stadium. Another morning game. This could be a record-breaking season in the worst way possible.  How many games can one team begin before noon in one season?

In case you've been asleep all season, Arkansas is, basically, terrible. Their season opener was a victory against Jacksonville State, followed by losses to ULM and Rutgers. The games against Alabama and Texas A&M were something worse than a "loss". I'm sure they'll play Auburn in a close game and it may likely go into overtime. That's just how it tends to work for Auburn. I can say confidently, though, that we should win.

While most of my family will be in Auburn this weekend at the game, I'll be celebrating the fact that 52 weeks ago tomorrow, Robert and I made a commitment to tolerate each other's bad habits for the rest of our lives.

No, neither Robert nor I are in this picture. However, these are some of my favorite people.

Auburn played Arkansas 52 weeks ago tomorrow and lost. Admittedly, I could not have cared less. And yes, we got married on a football weekend. None of my family or friends were traveling to Fayetteville to the game and Robert didn't really care if his friends or family had to miss a game. So if you are his friend and are mad you missed the Alabama v. Vandy game, blame him. We tried to make sure that anyone who wanted to watch a game was able to watch it. I just danced.

We're spending the weekend in Fairhope and hoping to relive a few of the slightly hazy moments of last year. The plan is to spend some time at the pool at the Grand Hotel and enjoy a nice dinner at the Wash House. Now if only there was a plane waiting to take me back to Anguilla. Happy Gameday Eve, y'all.
