Happy Halloween!

Pediatric dentists and diabetes specialists across the U.S. are rejoicing at the arrival of what must be their most profitable holiday of the year. In my opinion, Halloween is the one time each year when you can unabashedly eat as much candy as you can stomach over a twenty-four hour period. Guessing that I'll find a way to get in snacks of candy corn and caramel apple pops and a dinner of swedish fish. That basically amounts to a vegetable, fruit and protein.

I have to say that as I've gotten older, Halloween has changed quite a bit. Long gone are the days when my Facebook newsfeed was filled with scantily clad nurses, postal workers and police officers. It's rare that I see a "naughty" Disney princess or football referee. Now I sign on and my feed is full of pumpkin patches, hayrides and kids of every age sporting their Halloween finest. I may even see a few cute pups in costume. While some nearly-thirties of the male species may not completely embrace the transition, I'm not complaining. With that being said, I still think that not much beats stepping outside of your box and donning an awesome costume for an evening.

Speaking of those cute kids, if you've got them and live in Mobile, please bring them by our house tonight! I've never actually lived in a location that provided me with any trick-or-treaters and I am strangely excited about tonight. I'm sure I'll be a little less excited after the fifteenth teenager taller than me and wearing jeans and a t-shirt knocks on the door but I won't let that spoil my fun for now. We've got lots of "good" candy and I'm ready to hand it over.

And hey, if you're my age and feeling daring, brush off that old crop top devil/tinkerbell/pirate costume and give it a whirl tonight. You never know where it may lead, perhaps to your own pumpkin patch/cute kid Facebook photos for Halloween 2013.

Happy trick-or-treating! Be safe out there!

Bone Bash 2012

Several months ago, we began planning our costumes for Bone Bash 2012. Friday night, we all dressed up in our finest Olympic gear for the evening. Alas, there was no costume competition. Had there been, I feel certain that someone from our group would have taken first prize, and likely second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth places as well.

Happy Bone Bash!

Get after it.
A wonderful time was had by all. If anyone spies a rogue 1985 navy blue wind suit jacket with shoulder pads removed, let me know. Costumes for 2013 are already in the works!

Gameday Recap: Texas A&M

An excellent prelude to this post would be to go ahead and mention that, yet again, there is no homeboy of the week.
With that being said, our tailgate was awesome. As Tyson aptly stated, "Our team may suck but this tailgate is undefeated".

Glitter mustache and photo frame completely necessary.

Happy Birthday Celebration!
T$ on the track.

As far as the game goes, clearly, it was awful. Even Spirit attempted to fly out of the stadium before the game started. By halftime, much of the crowd had exited the stadium. This was sad, because, by a long shot, the highlight of the game was the paratroopers landing on the field during the halftime show. We made it to the fourth quarter and then took it back to the tg. I've heard a lot of people comment on how the fans left the game early. If the players/coaches would have given me any tiny amount of a reason to stay, I would have stuck it out. However, they did not. Another Sunday full of excuses and apologies.

Free Fall.

Brrrrr.

Sad face.

We are losers, again.
War Eagle anyways and Happy Monday to everyone! Prayers to all of those affected by the storm, especially our very own Haley Caroline. Stay safe, girl!

Homeboy Challenge: Week 7

Straight from Raul:

"Well this picking a MVHB from this cesspool of a team is really challenging. The best performance of yesterday's embarrassment in Music City was turned in by first time starter Cassanova McKinzy who had 12 tackles, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. Demetruce McNeal also had 12 tackles, however, neither player is anyone's HB. Therefore, the MVHB award goes to Tre Mason who had 85 yards on 16 carries and scored our only touchdown."

Sigh. Jay wins again. At least we can all get excited about seeing him sport the football purse on Saturday.

Preview: Auburn v. Vandy and the Amish

Auburn faithful, forgive me for not predicting a win this week. I'm going to make no prediction at all in hopes that I'll be in awe of the miraculous improvements to be witnessed on the field tomorrow. At least for my parents' sake.

My parents are currently on their way to Nashville for the game. Dad bought the tickets before the season started and they've decided to make the trip even though our team is awful. I'm slightly jealous of the trip, not so much because of the game, but mainly because they're making a trip through Amish country on their way up.

For some reason, my sisters, cousins and I have always had a strange obsession with the Amish. If there's a movie, documentary or television series or special portraying Amish life, I'll watch it. I want my own Rumpspringa. In that event that you too enjoy such programming, Devil's Playground is hands down the best documentary on the Amish I've seen to date. Maybe some of you have seen TLC's newest reality television endeavour, Breaking Amish.

The basic premise of the show is that it documents the lives of four Amish and one Mennonite as they leave their districts and head to New York City to experience "the real world". Spoiler alert--they are all certifiably nuts. I wouldn't be surprised if they were actually asked to leave their districts due to mental instability. With that being said, I can't turn away. If you're finding that Sunday night television is a little slow in your home, tune in to TLC at 9:00 p.m. And yes, I am aware that some people claim that she show is a lie. All reality television is a lie, in some form or fashion. If it helps to ease the pain of a quickly approaching Monday morning, lie to me all you like.

I'll leave you with a link to the funniest tweets over the last few days, as determined by Happy Place. I find that a little mindless entertainment on a Friday can be beneficial to one's well-being. Happy Place.

P.S. - I'm editing the tag line on the blog to reflect the fact that I don't have a whole lot to say about our football team. For the time being, you'll have to put up with my random musings. My apologies.

Happy Birthday, Raul!

Today is a very special day, indeed! Today is the day of my dad's birth! Last year, I wrote a submission to War Blogle in honor of my dad and his love for Auburn and his family. I thought I'd share it here today as a celebration of the best dad a girl could ask for!

"While I don't have one singular story to tell, I can say without hesitation that my father, Mike, is the definition of an "Auburn Dad." Our family is comprised mainly of loud, opinionated women. My dad had the daunting task of raising three girls.

Each fall, our Auburn family, consisting of ten females and my father, descend on Mell Street for each home football game. Our tailgate, "War Damn Fam Jam," is a glittery, girly extravaganza. Plus my dad. I cannot count the number of tents my dad has raised, coolers he's loaded and tailgate boxes that he's been asked to pack and unpack. He's the master of the tailgate grill. He can cook it all: chicken, burgers, hot dogs and seafood.

As a former football referee, he's graciously given us countless lessons on play calling, officials' hand signals and player positions. He has spent hours patiently adjusting the satellite dish trying to find the elusive signal. Once the game starts, he's available for purse-holding, drink-purchasing and player identification. When the game's over, he'll sing a round or two of "Hey, Baby" right along with you. He's there to help you up the stairs on the rare occasion when you may have had a bit too much fun in the many hours leading up to a night game. And he's done every bit of it with a smile on his face and an immense amount of love in his heart for all of us.

My dad is a member of the class of 1979, and I am proud to say that I feel he truly exemplifies the Auburn Creed. He is hard-working, honest, generous and kind. He is respected by those who know him and a blast to be around. I know I'm biased, but he's the best. As I've gotten older, I've come to recognize him as not only someone that I can look up to, but as an extraordinary friend. To my amazing Auburn Dad: Happy Father's Day, I Love You and War Damn!"

Happy Birthday, Raul! I love you lots!

Welcome to the World, Baby Girl!*

A huge congratulations to my cousin, Taylor, and his wife, Lindsay, who welcomed their first child into the world yesterday. Emmie Joy Borders was born at 2:48 p.m., weighing in at 7 pounds, 13 ounces and measuring 19.25 inches. She is absolutely beautiful and has the most precious cheeks I've ever seen. I am positively thrilled for them and excited to have another girl in the family!

"Think before you speak. Read before you think." Fran Lebowitz

For as long as I can remember, I have loved to read. This probably makes me a tiny bit of a nerd but I've always found that nerds have a tendency to be great successes so I'll roll with it. A couple of months ago, I joined my first book club. The way the club works, the host for the month gets to choose the book and the menu.

The book club had it's first meeting last month and I had such a wonderful time. It was so nice to get to meet a few new girls in the Mobile area and enjoy a few glasses of vino while discussing the chosen book, among other topics. This month we're having a red wine tasting. What more could I ask for?

Since our second meeting is tonight, I thought I'd share the first two months' selections. If you're in need of a good read, I don't think you could go wrong with either book.

When She Woke by Hillary Jordan

Image from Amazon

Book Description: Hannah Payne's life has been devoted to church and family. But after she's convicted of murder, she awakens in a new body to a nightmarish new life. She finds herself lying on a table in a bare room, covered only by a paper gown, with cameras broadcasting her every move to millions at home, for whom observing new Chromes--criminals whose skin color has been genetically altered to match the class of their crime--is a sinister form of entertainment. Hannah is a Red for the crime of murder. The victim, says the State of Texas, was her unborn child, and Hannah is determined to protect the identity of the father, a public figure with whom she shared a fierce and forbidden love.
A powerful reimagining of The Scarlet Letter, When She Woke is a timely fable about a stigmatized woman struggling to navigate an America of the not-too-distant future, where the line between church and state has been eradicated, and convicted felons are no longer imprisoned and rehabilitated but chromed and released back into the population to survive as best they can. In seeking a path to safety in an alien and hostile world, Hannah unknowingly embarks on a journey of self-discovery that forces her to question the values she once held true and the righteousness of a country that politicizes faith and love.

Gone Girl: A Novel by Gillian Flynn

Image from Amazon

Book Description: Marriage can be a real killer.
One of the most critically acclaimed suspense writers of our time, New York Times bestseller Gillian Flynn takes that statement to its darkest place in this unputdownable masterpiece about a marriage gone terribly, terribly wrong. The Chicago Tribune proclaimed that her work “draws you in and keeps you reading with the force of a pure but nasty addiction.” Gone Girl’s toxic mix of sharp-edged wit and deliciously chilling prose creates a nerve-fraying thriller that confounds you at every turn.
On a warm summer morning in North Carthage, Missouri, it is Nick and Amy Dunne’s fifth wedding anniversary. Presents are being wrapped and reservations are being made when Nick’s clever and beautiful wife disappears from their rented McMansion on the Mississippi River. Husband-of-the-Year Nick isn’t doing himself any favors with cringe-worthy daydreams about the slope and shape of his wife’s head, but passages from Amy's diary reveal the alpha-girl perfectionist could have put anyone dangerously on edge. Under mounting pressure from the police and the media—as well as Amy’s fiercely doting parents—the town golden boy parades an endless series of lies, deceits, and inappropriate behavior. Nick is oddly evasive, and he’s definitely bitter—but is he really a killer?
As the cops close in, every couple in town is soon wondering how well they know the one that they love. With his twin sister, Margo, at his side, Nick stands by his innocence. Trouble is, if Nick didn’t do it, where is that beautiful wife? And what was in that silvery gift box hidden in the back of her bedroom closet?
With her razor-sharp writing and trademark psychological insight, Gillian Flynn delivers a fast-paced, devilishly dark, and ingeniously plotted thriller that confirms her status as one of the hottest writers around.

Weekend Recap: Racing and Recipes

I'm not even going to call this a gameday recap. What happened out there on Saturday isn't worth much of  one. Ole Miss took an early lead, Auburn managed to pull ahead and then fell apart. Things got ugly. That's all the recap you need.

High notes of the weekend. I got to spend time with some sweet friends on Saturday and had fun watching the Auburn game and most of the Alabama game. I tried out a new dip that I feel was a success, Caramelized Onion Greek Yogurt Dip, another recipe from How Sweet It Is. It does take a little time (45 minutes) to cook the onions, but it's well worth it in the end. I didn't calculate the nutrition stats on this one but since it's mainly yogurt and onions with a tiny bit of oil and butter, it can't be all that bad. Plus, dips don't shouldn't count towards your daily caloric intake.

Image from How Sweet Eats. Mine wasn't this pretty.

Sunday morning, I ran my first trail race, the Cats and Dogs 5K at Cottage Hill Park benefiting the Alabama Animal Welfare Coalition. After a very long football Saturday, I was a bit worried that I wouldn't be in top shape for running. I finished around the 29 minute mark and got 2nd place in my age group. Disclaimer: there weren't that many people in my age group, maybe 10? I was happy with my time and happy that I actually managed to drag myself out of bed and run the race. There's a small chance that the promise of a trip to Super Target afterwards also provided some much needed encouragement.

Sunday afternoon, I tried out a new recipe that I plan to make for Thanksgiving, Low Fat Pumpkin Cake Bars, another recipe using Greek Yogurt. They are delicious. One item to note, I used an 8 x 8 pyrex and the cooking time was longer than 30 minutes, probably more like 45 minutes. I had to run to the office and gave Robert instructions to pull them out after 30 minutes in the oven. When I got home, they were not cooked all the way through so I re-heated the oven and put them in for an additional 20 minutes.

I don't have a picture but I'm sure you can all imagine what they'd look like, an orange cake with white icing. The use of pumpkin and greek yogurt in the recipe make for a bar that's low in fat without being dry and crumbly. Nutritional stats on the bars for 16 servings are as follows: 144 Calories, 2 g fat, 67 mg sodium, 87 mg potassium, 29 g carbs, 1.5 g fiber, 20 g sugars, 3.9 g protein, 77% Vitamin C.

Hope that your week is off to a great start! Don't forget that the second presidential debate is this evening. Inform yourself!

Homeboy Challenge: Week 6

I hope everyone enjoyed their mini from last week's challenge while watching the second half of our game on Saturday. There was actually some discussion that we might go a second week without a challenge winner. In the end, Raul decided that we did have one player worthy of such an esteemed title.

#21 Tre Mason is Homeboy of the Week. Mason picked up 82 yards and scored 2 touchdowns on 18 carries in Saturday's game. Jay, you should have a lot of minis coming your way the weekend of Texas A&M. I guarantee you'll need them as the second half of the season gets underway.

Preview: Auburn v. Ole Miss

Who's excited about another 11:00 kickoff? Not this girl. Earlier this summer, we'd debated making the trip to Oxford this year. We went two years ago and had an amazing weekend. We rented a house with three other couples and some of the WDFJ made it in to tailgate with the Ole Miss fans. Unfortunately, it didn't work out for us financially or with our work schedules so we'll be watching from Mobile. By "we", I mean "me". Robert's going fishing so I'm going to hang out with some friends and watch some football. I'm also trying out a new dip and if it turns out well, I'll be sure and share.

A little more about the game. Robert's an Ole Miss graduate so I guess this is technically our rivalry game. The first football season that we were dating, 2008, Ole Miss won the game. Since then, we've managed to win three in a row. Will we be so lucky this year, who knows? The betting line says Ole Miss by six. I know I've pretty much said that I thought we could win every game this year but I have a good feeling about tomorrow. From what I've seen over the past week, several of the players seem mad enough to really make something happen out there. We've got a new starting qb tomorrow and we've got our punt returner back from his suspension. Will I be shocked if we fall apart and Ole Miss beats us by 30? No. Fingers crossed!

Whole Wheat Pumpkin Spice English Muffin Bread with Brown Sugar Cinnamon Butter

One of my favorite things to do is bake. I can think of nothing that makes me happier than a Saturday or Sunday afternoon in the kitchen. A few weeks ago, I ran across a recipe for pumpkin spice english muffin bread on one my favorite blogs, How Sweet Eats. Anyone with a pinterest account knows that pumpkin recipes are all the rage once September rolls around. Unfortunately, I've never been a huge fan of pumpkin. When I saw that the recipe only included a small amount of pumpkin and a touch of pumpkin spice, I thought it was worth a shot. I was right! It's absolutely delicious.

For those of you who count your calories, I took the liberty of calculating the nutritional information. One slice (one-tenth of one loaf of bread) contains 122 calories, 1 gram of fat, 23.8 grams carbohydrates, 2.4 grams of dietary fiber, 1.7 grams of sugar and 4 grams of protein. Is it the most nutritious thing you've ever eaten? Probably not but swimsuit season is over. Eat some butter and be happy.

Whole Wheat Pumpkin Spice English Muffin Bread with Brown Sugar Cinnamon Butter (Howsweeteats.com)

Yield: 2 loaves
Prep Time: 1 hour
Cook Time: 35 minutes
Total Time: about 2 hours (with cooling time)

Ingredients:

2 cups whole wheat flour
3 cups all-purpose flour
2 packages (4 1/2 teaspoons) active dry yeast
2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 tablespoon honey
1/2 tablespoon olive oil
1/3 cup pureed pumpkin
2 cups warm milk, 120-130 degrees
1/2 cup warm water, 120-130 degrees
cornmeal for loaf pans

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
1 1/2 tablespoons brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt

Directions:

Grease or spray two loaf pans with non-stick spray and sprinkle with cornmeal, shuffling the pan around so the cornmeal coats all the sides. Dump the excess.

In the bowl of your electric mixer (fitted with the beater attachment), combine whole wheat flour, yeast, pumpkin pie spice and baking soda. Add in milk, pumpkin, honey, olive oil and water, beating on low speed until combined, about 30 seconds. Increase the speed to medium-high and beat for 3 minutes, scraping down the sides if necessary. Decrease speed to low and add in remaining flour and salt, mixing until just combined - do not overmix, do not knead. The dough will be sticky.

Divide batter equally into two loaf pans and sprinkle the tops with cornmeal. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 45-60 minutes.

After about 30 minutes of the dough rising, preheat oven to 375 degrees. Bake loaves for 35 minutes, or until tops are golden brown. Remove from the oven and immediately remove from pans, setting aside to cool.

butter
Combine all ingredients together in a bowl and stir until well combined. Spread on warm toast. Store at room temperature for a day or two, or store in the fridge for a few weeks.

Weekend Recap

Bob and I had a wonderful weekend celebrating our anniversary. Saturday morning, we got up and drove over to Fairhope. We explored the art festival and found my dad a gift for his upcoming birthday. We searched for a place to eat that had a tv so I could catch some of the game. Big mistake. It was tragic from the second that we started watching. So many stupid mistakes and penalties. Our team had no heart. It was just ugly. Fortunately, I wasn't being forced to watch. We finished up lunch and went to check out a market that was recommended to Robert by a co-worker. I believe it was called 181 Market. It wasn't what we were expecting. The "market" was a set of climate controlled storage units where people just rolled up the doors to their unit and sold the stuff inside. I think Robert's quote was that he "felt like we were on storage wars". We didn't find anything that we couldn't live without. I will say that I feel like if you hit it at just the right time you could probably find something awesome.

After the market, we headed to the Grand Hotel. Our room wasn't quite ready so we changed clothes and headed to the pool. It was at this point that Auburn scored and I had a glimmer of hope. That didn't last long. We sat at the bar until it was 24-7 and then just stopped watching. Clearly, it didn't get any better so I'm glad I didn't waste any more time. After spending an afternoon poolside, we enjoyed a few sunset cocktails with Robert's friend, Clifton, and his wife, Leighton. We had 8:00 reservations at the Wash House and dinner was delicous.

Sunday, we had breakfast in Fairhope, grocery shopped at Publix and then drove back over the bay. I went to meet a friend for lunch, picked up cookies at the Junior League and then went to the Hunter's to enjoy some champagne and year-old cake. They were so sweet to keep our cake safe for us! I have to say, it wasn't as awful as I'd imagined it would be.

Yesterday, for our actual anniversary, we celebrated by providing for Layla. We went to work. I did come home to find beautiful flowers from Robert as well as flowers from his grandmother and aunt in New Mexico. We grilled steak, drank our favorite wine and Layla chased a nasty possum into a tree in the backyard. That sums it up nicely!

Every Fan of College Football

You've got to admit that it's funny, regardless of which team you pull for on Saturdays.

Homeboy Challenge: Week 5

This week's challenge winner is....

No one. If you watched even a few minutes of Saturday's game then you know why. Everyone buy yourself a mini. I guarantee you're going to need it as we watch the remainder of this season unfold.

That'll do.

This is a very special day!

Happy Anniversary, Robert! Love you lots!

Preview: Auburn v. Arkansas

Tomorrow, Auburn will take on the Arkansas Razorbacks at Jordan-Hare Stadium. Another morning game. This could be a record-breaking season in the worst way possible.  How many games can one team begin before noon in one season?

In case you've been asleep all season, Arkansas is, basically, terrible. Their season opener was a victory against Jacksonville State, followed by losses to ULM and Rutgers. The games against Alabama and Texas A&M were something worse than a "loss". I'm sure they'll play Auburn in a close game and it may likely go into overtime. That's just how it tends to work for Auburn. I can say confidently, though, that we should win.

While most of my family will be in Auburn this weekend at the game, I'll be celebrating the fact that 52 weeks ago tomorrow, Robert and I made a commitment to tolerate each other's bad habits for the rest of our lives.

No, neither Robert nor I are in this picture. However, these are some of my favorite people.

Auburn played Arkansas 52 weeks ago tomorrow and lost. Admittedly, I could not have cared less. And yes, we got married on a football weekend. None of my family or friends were traveling to Fayetteville to the game and Robert didn't really care if his friends or family had to miss a game. So if you are his friend and are mad you missed the Alabama v. Vandy game, blame him. We tried to make sure that anyone who wanted to watch a game was able to watch it. I just danced.

We're spending the weekend in Fairhope and hoping to relive a few of the slightly hazy moments of last year. The plan is to spend some time at the pool at the Grand Hotel and enjoy a nice dinner at the Wash House. Now if only there was a plane waiting to take me back to Anguilla. Happy Gameday Eve, y'all.

Gameday Grub: White Sauce

First up, a discussion of last night's debate. I kid. The seven thousand facebook status updates and tweets I've skimmed over have just about done me in. For the record, saying that someone is "so out of touch with reality" or "such a horrible person" is not a well-articulated political comment/opinion. That goes both ways. Moving on...

Without a doubt, this is one of the most beloved recipes in my family. White barbecue sauce is a household staple in North Alabama, but not quite as common down here in the South. It's good on pretty much anything: chicken, pork, fries, vegetables, etc. We actually made three large batches of the sauce on Friday night before Supper Club and gave bottles to each couple on Saturday night. Give it a try, I promise you won't be disappointed!

Hard at work.

White Sauce
Large batch:
1 quart mayonnaise
1 cup white vinegar
3 oz. lemon juice
6 tablespoons sugar
6 tablespoons pepper
3 teaspoons salt

Small batch:
10 tablespoons mayonnaise
3 tablespoons white vinegar
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon black pepper
½ teaspoon salt

Combine all ingredients. Store in fridge for up to two weeks.

Gameday Grub: Fall Mix

This is a great "recipe" because you can tailor it to ingredients that you have on hand. Try different types of chocolate candies, mini cookies, pumpkin seeds, whatever you like. With that being said, I think that candy corn and nuts are a "must". It would make a great gift idea for co-workers, teachers or friends. Just put some in a small jar or treat bag, add a cute tag and you're set.

Pretty flowers from Mrs. Hunter!

Fall Mix (9.29.12 version)

2 small cans mixed nuts
1 bag pretzel goldfish
1 (11 oz.) bag candy corn
1 (10 oz. range) bag m&m's
1/2 (10 oz.) bag dried cranberries

Gameday Grub: Cornbread Salad

My cousin, Julie, has made this dish several times for tailgates and other family events. I thought it would be a good choice for the supper club because it's actually best if made ahead of time. That way, I wasn't rushing around trying to pull something together as our guests were arriving. Another perk is that it makes for a pretty presentation!

Cornbread Salad
1.5 cups sour cream
1.5 cups mayo
2 packages dry ranch dressing mix
1 package martha white mexican corn bread mix
16 oz whole kernel corn (rinse and drain)
2 cups shredded mild cheddar cheese
1/2 cup chopped green onions
1/2 cup chopped green bell peppers
3 medium tomatoes, chopped
bacon bits

mix sour cream, mayo, and ranch together. set aside. bake cornbread according to package. when cool, crumble 1/2  in the bottom of a trifle bowl. layer corn, cheese, onions, pepper, tomatoes, bacon, and dressing mix. repeat. top with remaining dressing mix and cheese. chill before serving.
***best the next day***

(Note: I substituted plain, nonfat yogurt for the sour cream and did not use the full two packages of ranch dressing mix.)

Gameday Grub: Spinach Dip

I wasn't going to post this recipe because it basically follows the recipe on the Knorr box but I was asked to post it so of course I had to oblige!

Knorr Spinach Dip
(slightly modified from original recipe)

Seen here with Fall Mix.

1 package Knorr vegetable recipe mix
2 cups nonfat plain yogurt
1/2 cup fat-free mayo
1/2 cup mayo with olive oil
1 (8 oz.) can water chestnuts, chopped
3 green onions, chopped
1 (10 oz.) package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained

Mix all your ingredients together. The plain yogurt had a tendency to be a little more runny than regular sour cream so allow the dip to chill for several hours prior to serving. Great with pita chips, wheat thins or raw vegetables.
